Brave Dave Music

Ten years of picking up the guitar, chasing tone, and turning it into songs. Now it's all here — stream the recordings, browse the sessions, and come along for the next one.

Portrait

Ten years in, still chasing the next song.

What started as a few chords learned on a borrowed guitar turned into a decade of practice, gear tinkering, and late-night writing sessions. These days that means original songs, home-recorded and mixed track by track, built around real playing rather than studio polish.

“Most men live lives of quiet desperation, and go to the grave with the song still in them.”

— Henry David Thoreau

“The function of music is to release us from the tyranny of conscious thought.”

— Sir Thomas Beecham

“Occam as a deity and the allegorical use of sympathetic planets works well. Earth’s soliloquy of destruction gives over to resolution. In the end, Occam reclaims and we’re left to realize our lack of stewardship. The simplest explanation is usually correct.”

— John Thomas
